AEF18LE is a new model introduced into the AEF series by Ibanez Guitars. It is the only AEF series novelty unveiled at the NAMM show this January. It is the successor of the previously active AEF18 Left Handed. This one comes with a full-sized dreadnought body made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. This combination of tonewoods is very popular among both the players and builders of acoustic guitars, for it gives a fantastic tone and is also very affordable. Top panel is bound in ivoroid binding and equipped with a modern sound hole rosette. Entire body is finished in gloss and it`s available in Natural and black color. Neck on this model matches the back and side panels of the body, it is made of mahogany. Equipped with standard contour in the back and dovetail joint at the 14th fret, this neck is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Ibanez under-saddle pickup is paired with Ibanez Shapeshifter preamp. Die-cast tuning machines, 25-1/2" scale and chrome hardware plating complete the specs list.
