AEL series deals with acoustic-electric guitars made for the intermediate section of the market. Models from this series are aimed at players who want to replace their beginner acoustic guitar for something more serious, more challenging, or for seasoned pros who are looking for a decent backup guitar. AELBT1 is the first baritone model featured in the lineup. It has the distinctive AEL contour with single-cut construction. Back and sides are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce (this is one of the most popular tonewood combos for steel-stringers). Rosewood bridge on the top conceals a Fishman piezo pickup, while the preamp (also Fishman) is situated on the side of the body, facing the player. Neck is made of mahogany, like the sides and the back of the body. It`s glued in at the 14th fret. On it`s top, there is a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
