For 2014, Ibanez is introducing anew series into the Artwood range, it is the fantastic Artwood Vintage line which delves even deeper into the exploration of the vintage design and construction of thoroughbred steel-stringers. All of the models in the initial lineup of this newly formed line are featuring yet unseen appointments and specs. Three models comprise this lineup and AVN1 is one of two parlor-shaped models featured. It comes with a non-cutaway version of this timeless classic contour and vintage 12th fret neck joint. Back and sides of the body are made of mahogany, while the top is made of solid Sitka spruce, which is one of the most beloved combinations of tonewoods among the steel-stringer fans. Neck is also made of mahogany, to contribute to the overall thickness and sheer volume of the tone. On the white-bound top, Ibanes installs the classic belly-contoured rosewood bridge with compensated bone saddle. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a classic dovetail joint and is topped with an 18-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
