AVN10 is a model of the newly established Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged series. The series has been introduced just in time for 2016 summer NAMM, and represents a very important addition to the hugely successful Artwood range. The main feature of the Thermo Aged series is the proces of thermal treatment of the tonewoods. The process consists of heating the wood in vacuum to speed up its aging. The end result is a new acoustic guitar which sounds as if it`s been aging naturally for decades. Dreadnoughts, parlors and concert models make up the series` six-piece lineup. AVN10 kicks off with a flat-top parlor body, made of mahogany and spruce. Solid mahogany back (Thermo Aged), laminated mahogany sides (Thermo Aged) and solid Sitka spruce top (Thermo Aged) comprise the body. Ivoroid binding with herringbone purfling decorates both the back and the top. The neck is made of mahogany and features the series standard soft-V profile in the back. On its top, Ibanez installs a rosewood-made fingerboard with 18 frets, custom designed inlays, 1.69" wide bone nut and 15.75" radius. Other premium features include: fixed rosewood bridge w/compensated saddle, open-gear tuning machines and X bracing.
