Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged is the most heavily updated series in Ibanez`s 2018 catalog, with pretty much the entire lineup either replaced or updated. Among the updates, there`s also the affordable AVN9SPE. The parlor-shaped steel-stringer rocks non-cutaway body, short scale (24.96" scale), combined Fishman/Ibanez electronics, the traditional 12th fret neck joint, and vintage styling. Also, since it is a tier 9 model, only the top`s aged (back and sides are not aged). The color palette includes only one option - natural High Gloss. Notable features also include mahogany-made mack & sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, V-shaped mahogany neck (w/satin finish), an 18-fret ovangkol fingerboard (1.69" nut, 15.75" radius, dot inlays), an ovangkol bridge, and open-gear tuning machines.
