Though primarily known as an exclusive guitar brand, Martin`s catalog has diversified recently to encompass many intermediate and lower class models and series, making Martin a more interesting brand for a broader range of players. List of the budget friendly (at least in Martin`s sense of this word) is pretty long and 15 series is counted among them (though it`s models cost somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000). 000-15M Burst is the only novelty this series receives at the start of 2015. Standard 000 body without a cutaway is taken as the base for this steel-stringer. Solid mahogany is used for the entire body, including the top, sides and the back panel, which guarantees a strong, warm and very resonant tone, particularly in the lower end. Fixed rosewood bridge with a one-piece bone saddle and solid ebony pins is featured on the top. While the electronics are not included in the starting specs list, they can be optionally installed at request. Mahogany is also used for the neck. The low oval neck is fit at the 14th fret via the classic dovetail joint and covered with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. With the price tag set at $1,849.00, 000-15M Burst is most certainly one of the top Martin models in the price/quality category.
