With the price tag of $3,649, HD-28 is one of the most affordable dreadnought models in the entire series. This, however, does not mean it lacks quality either material or tone. It comes with a bit more modest set of decorations than some of the more expensive ones. This dreadnought is a non-cutaway guitar made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board. Bracing on the inside is also made of spruce. All major wooden parts on this guitar are made of solid wood. Ebony bridge is belly-contoured and matched with a 20-fret fingerboard of the same material. Neck is made of hardwood, it`s equipped with low profile contour and satin finish in the back. Tuning machines on the headstock are plated in chrome.
