Norman Guitars is one of the more popular guitar brands from Canada, along with Seagull, Godin, etc. Its main focus is on the affordable (beginner and lower middle class) steel-stringers. The currently available catalog has four series, with Protege being one of them. Protege models are, like the models of the remaining three series, made in La Patrie, Quebec. B18 CW is Protege series` only amplified model (the others come in fully acoustic, with optionally available electronics), as well as the only one with a cutaway body (standard materials are used on this one). Black and Tobacco Sunburst options make up the color palette. Other notable features include a silver leaf maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, Fishman Presys electronics (pickup + preamp), fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
