JR series features short-scaled acoustic guitars, made primarily for younger players, players with shorter fingers, and everyone else who wants to play a short-scle guitar. There are three models in the current lineup - JR2S, JR2, and JR1. All three are fully acoustic (no electronics fetured within the body), based on the dreadnought body style (which is named "Original Western Style" by Yamaha), and vintage styling. JR2S`s main features include mahogany back/sides, spruce soundboard (w/tortoise pickguard, black binding, simple rosette). The color palette is limited to Natural and Brown Sunburst (both finished in gloss and equipped with chrome hardware).
