Guitarron is an acoustic bass utilized mostly in the music of Mexican Mariachi. It features a large and very deep body with arched back and a short neck. Lucida Guitars currently produce this one six stringed model named LG-GR1. It starts off with a nato top, back and sides. This model features natural glossy finish and intricate multi-ply body top binding. LG-GR1 has a spruce made bridge and an inlaid sound hole rosette. The neck is made of nato and features a dove tail joint. The rosewood fingerboard is fretless and features no inlays. Other features include: 22" scale, gloss finish and aged nickel plated elephant ear tuning machines. The strings on this model are authentic Mexican made mariachi guitarron strings. The MSRP for the LG-GR1 is set at $479.99.
