Edge series is one of the most important lines in Dean Guitars catalog, as it forms the backbone of the bass segment. Edge basses are solid, double-cut and have full-length scales. Various pickups options are featured throughout the series many sub-divisions. Also, various levels and packs of hardware and equipment are featured throughout the series. Edge 1-5 belongs to the Edge 1/09 sub-series and it is one of the basic models. Basswood is used for the body, while the neck is made of maple. Solid, double-cut and flat-top body is equipped with a standard five-saddled bridge and a pair of mighty humbucking pickups. Maple neck is fit with a series standard contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
