Jack Casady is one of the greatest champions of hollow and semi-hollow basses. With career spanning over seven decades (he started playing pubs in Washington D.C. while he was still well under age in the late 1950s), Mr Casady has seen so many trends, cults, waves and legends rise and fall, that it would be almost impossible to name them all. For 2014, Epiphone has prepared the Limited Edition Jack Casady Bass as the only Limited Edition bass model. It comes with a gorgeous double-cut body made entirely of laminated maple (this type of construction gives a light, punchy tone with very quick response) and set in mahogany neck. Carved top is bound in black and white and also features two vintage-styled "f" holes. Classic top-load bridge with four saddles is teamed up with a set of four vintage-styled tuning machines on the headstock. Low Impedance JCB-1 humbucker is found in the middle position, while the bridge and neck positions are left vacant. Mahogany neck is rounded, smooth and very comfortable. On it`s top, Epiphone installs a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. This lean and elegant four-stringer is available only in Alpine White with gloss finish and nickel hardware.
