Dark See-Thru Green Sunburst
Suicide Silence bass player, Daniel Kenny has joined ESP family of signature artists with a brand new DK-5 bass. This extremely shaped instrument was uncovered at the NAMM show about a month ago. With this bass, Dan also joins his band mate Mark Heylmun, while the other guitarist, Chris Garza remains Schecter signature artist. DK-5 is an extended range beast which looks as menacing as it sounds. Heavily carved top features no binding, nor pickguards. The only color option available for this model is dark see-thru green sunburst with gloss finish. The bridge compartment contains a five-saddle BB-605 bridge with black nickel plating. The pickups on this model are provided by EMG, and both the bridge and middle position feature EMG40DC active pickups. Controls for this model include master volume, bass boost/cut, mid boost/cut, treble boost/cut and master balance knobs. The neck is made of maple and it features a thin U contour and neck-through-body construction. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 24 extra jumbo sized frets. The string nut measures 1.77" in width and the scale is 35" long, one inch more than ESP bass standard. Grover tuners complete the specs list for DK-5.
