LTD FB-4 is one of four Frank Bello signature basses for 2015. It was introduced at the NAMM show this January along with the rest of the ESP and LTD catalog updates for this year. Except tuning machines (LTD Vintage), badge on the headstock (LTD instead of ESP) and chrome-plated pickguard (ESP Frank Bello has a black one), FB-4 looks the same as the top ESP Frank Bello signature model. Due to the shared pickups and controls, these two sound the same, as well. FB-4 kicks off with a solid and double-cut body made of alder and a bolt-on maple neck with an original FB U contour. Precision-like body of this intermediate class four-string is available only in Black Satin color scheme with chrome hardware (including the chrome pickguard) and black pickup covers is the only color scheme available for this model. EMG`s JX and PX comprise the pickups combo. Their controls unit is composed of a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Behind the pickups, ESP installs the Gotoh 201B-4 bridge (also found on the ESP Frank Bello model). Maple neck is topped with a 21-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays and extra jumbo-sized fretware. LTD`s Vintage tuners wrap the specs list.
