Phoenix series is ESP`s tribute to the mighty Gibson Thunderbird bass. Currently, there are only two models in the series roster and 204 is the lower positioned one. It comes with a solid and single-cut Thunderbird body made of mahogany in it`s entirety. Due to the price class and market division it competes in, 204 is fit with a bolt-on neck joint, instead of the regular neck-through-body variant. Bolted neck is made of maple. Flat-top body is fit with a four-saddled hardtail bridge, as well as a pair of active humbucking pickups with a standard controls unit (two volumes/one tone). U-shaped maple neck features gloss finish in the back and a series standard 21-fret fingerboard made of bound rosewood.
