Surveyor series is made by ESP with plans to oppose the modern Precision-like basses made by other brands. Main target of this series are young metalheads and punks with orientation towards the harsher styles of these two genres. There are currently two models in the lineup with Surveyor 5 being the only five-stringer. It comes with a solid and flat body made of ash. Deep cutaway and slim neck profile allow the player an effortless access to the upper frets. Along with five Gotoh tuners installed on the headstock, five-saddled bridge keeps tuning and intonation in check no matter what. Dual humbucker configuration of pickups offers bucket loads of strength and simple controls. Maple neck is made of a single piece of wood and is topped with a 21-fret ebony fingerboard.
