Back in 2009, Fender`s Custom Shop has introduced the fantastic 1964 Jazz Bass. This four-stringed marvel is, up to this day, one of the best Jazz Bass incarnations ever made. It comes with a classic 1960s Jazz Bass contours and vintage styling. Body of this mighty J Bass is made of alder (as it was on the original model). It is paired with a maple neck via the bolt-on joint. Custom Shop offers this model in 3 Color Sunburst with gloss finish and chrome-plated hardware. Back in 1964, Jazz Bass had a metal cover over the four-saddled bridge which is also incorporated into the design of the 2009 version. Maple neck features the same contour in the back that 1964 model had. On the top, there is a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
