Precision and Jazz basses are two of the greatest solid-bodied basses ever made and they`re still Fender`s primary four and five-string options. The new 2016 Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass is a masterful combination of the best of both worlds. 2016 Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass comes in with a double-cut Precision body made of alder and a Jazz Bass bolt-on neck made of maple. The neck is equipped with the modern C profile in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (9.5" radius, 1.5" synthetic bone nut, medium jumbo frets). Custom Shop `60s Jazz pickup in the bridge and P pickup in the neck make offer the ultimate tonal versatility. Four-saddled Hi Mass bridge (top-load and string-through versions are available) and Fender "F" Light-Weight tuners complete this PJ hybrid.

Looked long and hard to find used one at the first of 2019, found it in a music store in Wisconsin! It is by far the best feeling bass I have played. I have 1983 Fender Jazz (my main bass until now), Acoustic Black Widow, Mosrite Combo 300, Gibson EB-0, and 5 string acoustic bass. The neck is the very narrow jazz neck, fits my fingers. I have the growl of the one jazz pickup, and the bottom end fullness of the precision pickup. It just feels good to play and sounds great. I play old time rock, rock classics, some pop, blues, and country rock, it adjust right into all. In my opinion, Fender got it right on this one! She will be my mainstay from now on.
