Dee Dee Ramone Precision Bass is dedicated to the father of all punk rock bass players, one and only, Dee Dee Ramone. His stripped down late 1950s Precision Bass with white body and black guard was used as the starting point for this tribute axe. The final result is completely and utterly stunning. It is a near perfect replica with addition of few details, such as Dee Dee`s signature decal on the back of the headstock and "One, Two, Three, Four" engraved on the neck plate. Solid and double-cut body of this master piece features the contoured Precision line and a bolt-on neck joint. It is entirely made of the finest specimens of alder available to the standard section of the Fender catalog. Olympic White with glossy finish and black pickguard is the only color option available for this marvelous Precision, as this was the combo for Dee Dee`s original bass. Hardtail bridge on the top has four string saddles and chrome plating. In it`s front, Fender installs a Standard series P pickup in the middle position. Controls unit features a master volume and master tone knob with regular wiring and materials used for them. Maple neck is fit with a C profile in the back and a 20-fret maple fingerboard on the top. Regular Bolt-on joint is also featured in the back. Frets on the fingerboard are the same size the frets on Dee Dee`s bass used to be. Black dot inlays, 1.625" wide synthetic bone nut and 9.50" radius complete the fingerboard. Classic Precision headstock is fit with a set of four vintage tuning machines with open gears. With the price tag well under $1,000, This four-stringer stays true to it`s punk rock roots.
