Brand new Dimension line of electric basses is hitting the stage. Judging by the hype among the bass experts, this seems to be the series that will carry on the Precision and Jazz flag in the 21st century. With seven models introduced in the initial lineup, Fender shows that Dimension is a serious line and that it`s here to stay. Deluxe Dimension IV Bass is situated in the Deluxe series of Fender`s standard catalog and it takes on a roll of the intermediate option for players who want quality at reasonable price. Body of this model is solid, double-cut and made of ash (same as the models from the American Deluxe series). It features the standard Hi-Mass bridge on the top with four saddles and chrome plating. In the pickups department, there`s only one humbucker in the bridge position. Standard set of four knobs makes up the controls unit (Master volume, bass boost/cut, mid boost/cut and treble boost/cut). Maple neck is fit with a standard C contour in the back, instead of the asymmetrical C found on the American Deluxe models. Rosewood and maple fingerboard options both have 21 medium jumbo frets, dot inlays and 1-5/8" synthetic bone nut. Instead of the compound radius, Deluxe Dimension IV Bass has the standard 9.5" radius.
