Modern Player is a line of beginner`s fender guitars and basses. Beginners and young players who have never had a Fender before in their life are the main target of this series. Tradition of the Modern Player line is to offer modern tone, modern construction along with decent tone and build quality. For the summer 2013, Fender completely reshapes the Modern Player line. Three basses and three guitars are being introduced this time. One of the bass novelties is the Modern Player Jazz Bass V. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of alder, Fender`s standard body wood. It is traditionally flat on top and fit with a bolt-on joint. There is no binding around the top and there is no top wood cover. Hardtail bridge is fit with five saddles and chrome plating. Pickups in the front are passive humbuckers, instead of the classic S/S pattern. These humbuckers provide extra strength and extra sustain For players who play in heavy bands. Standard controls unit is featured along with these pickups. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features the modern C contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
