Pawn Shop series has a task of producing guitars and basses with vintage styling. Now, that in itself is not a very special task, but Pawn Shop series makes "recreations" of models that were never produced, but now seem like interesting ideas. Also, this series contains a selection of real reissues and replicas. For 2013 Fender has prepared four new models for the Pawn Shop series and one of them is the Mustang bass with a short scale. Instead of regular 34 inches, this model has 30" scale. Body of this model is a classic one, it`s double-cut, solid and made of alder. There are no top wood covers, nor there`s binding around the top. There are three color schemes assigned for this model, Three-Color Sunburst, Olympic White and Candy Apple Red. Olympic White and Candy Apple Red are equipped with "Go Faster" stripes. Bridge section is equipped with a hardtail bridge with string-through construction. In the pickups department Fender opted to go with a middle-position humbucker with master tone and master volume controls. Neck is made of maple and it features C contour with bolt-on joint. It is topped with a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard.
