RD is the signature bass guitar of the former Nirvana bass player, Krist Novoselic. This one takes a slightly different angle on the classic Thunderbird body. It`s still single-cut, flat on top and has an asymmetrical tail. It is made of maple, which is an interesting choice (for Gibson solid guitars and solid basses usually tend to be made of mahogany bodies and mahogany necks). RD is a flat-top four-stringer with 34" scale, chrome hardware and set in neck. It is offered in the classic Ebony with gloss finish. Standard four-saddled bridge is installed on the top and it`s fronted with a pair of single-coil pickups. Neck is made of maple, as well and it`s topped with a 20-fret obeche fingerboard.
