JB series in G&L catalog is a line dedicated to the fans of the iconic Jazz Bass shape. Even the name of the series is made up of initial letters of the Jazz Bass series. Currently, it only has one model, the JB 2. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of swamp ash (swamp ash was one of the most important tonewoods in Fender catalog and the original one, until the introduction of alder in late 1950s). Body of this model is flat on top and has a bolt-on neck joint. 3 Tone sunburst and Natural are color options assigned to this model. Two single-coil pickups are installed on the top. Maple is used for the neck, while the 21-fret fingerboard is available in both the maple and rosewood variants.
