For 2013 Guild Guitars are reviving the electric section of their catalog. After several decades, 2013 NAMM booth of Guild Guitars featured brand new electric guitars and basses. One series stood out from the crowd, it`s name is the Newark St Collection. It is a series which revives the legendary models from the 1950s and 1960s. It is made up of seven guitars and one bass. The only bass is the Starfire bass. It comes with a semi-hollow double cut body and short 30-3/4" scale. Body of this model is made of laminated mahogany back, sides and top. Both the back and top are arched and decorated with white binding. Top panel also features two "f" holes. Cherry red is the only color scheme and it comes with a high gloss finish. Bridge is a vintage-styled one-piece with rosewood saddles and top-load construction. Guild Bi-Sonic pickup is the only one and it sits in the bridge position. Master volume and tone knobs comprise the controls unit. Three piece neck is made of two mahogany and one maple piece. It`s topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. Grover tuners on the headstock complete the specs.
