GSR200 is the basic model of the GSR series of the affordable bass guitars. It is a basic four-stringer with modern double-cut design and bolted neck. Despite it`s low price, GSR200 packs a powerful punch and comes with solid build quality. It was introduced this January at NAMM show and will lead GSR basses through the market battle in 2013. Agathis and basswood are being used as body tonewoods, with basswood only being found on Transparent Red. Other color schemes come with agathis bodies. However, all color options are finished in high gloss. Construction-wise, this model features a four-bolt neck joint and a deep lower cutaway. Bridge is a B-10 with four adjustable saddles and top-load construction. Pickups on this model are from the PSND Bass series and come in classic J/P configuration. Master tone, two volume knobs and PHAT II EQ knob are included into the controls unit. Neck is made of maple and it features the comfortable and slim GSR contour. On it`s top Ibanez installs a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
