SR series is the mainstay of the Ibanez bass catalog. It is four-stringed parallel of the cult RG series from the guitar segment. With more than 25 years on the market, SR has proven how important and relevant it is. Today SR series features three sub-series in the standard catalog (SR, SR Premium and SR Prestige) ad one in the GIO range (GSR). Regular SR series has been overhauled for 2016 and SR300E is one of its new basic models. It is a four-stringer with carved top, bolt-on construction, passive electronics and a wide color palette. SR300E`s specs list starts off with a solid and double-cut body made entirely of mahogany. The streamlined body is then paired with a five-piece maple/rosewood neck with SR-4 profile in the back. On top of the neck, a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard is installed. It rocks medium-sized frets, dot inlays, 1.50" nut and 12" radius. Electronics section is outfitted with a pair of mighty PowerSpan humbuckers with a standard controls unit. 3-band EQ, mid frequency selector, master volume and pickup pan knob are all there. Accu-Cast B120 hardtail bridge and a set of die-cast tuning machines are the main features of the hardware section. These two also conclude the list of SR300E`s major features.
