SR`s Standard series is divided between models with numerical designations ranging from 300 to 800. Below is the GIO range (GSR) and above is SR Premium. 650 models belong to the 600 line. They traditionally feature J/P pickups and simple, elegant styling.
New SR655 is a five-stringed bass, introduced at 2017 NAMM. It rocks a solid and carved SR body made entirely of ash. Antique Brown Stained, Natural Flat and Surreal Blue Burst are available color options (all featuring black hardware and satin finish). Five-piece jatoba/bubinga neck (with SR5 profile) and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (medium frets, 1.77" nut, 12" radius) complete the chassis.
Major hardware and electronics features include Accu-cast B305 bridge, Nordstrand CND pickups (in J/P configuration) and die-cast tuning machines.
