Megadeth`s longest serving bass player and longest serving member, after Dave Mustaine of course, is back in 2016 with a completely refurbished signature series. The series now consists of a quartet of Concert basses. Two of them belong to the budget-friendly X series while the other two boast the exclusive USA Signature status. Among the luxurious USA Signature models, one is a standard four-stringer, while the other features an additional string. USA Signature David Ellefson Concert Bass CB IV not only has a long name, it also has a long list of exclusive features. So, let`s dig in! USA Signature David Ellefson Concert Bass CB IV is a solid and double-cut bass with classic alder/maple construction. Alder wings are glued onto the maple neck to form the chassis of this exclusive Concert. The neck is made of a single piece of wood and has a 21-fret ebony fingerboard on top. EMG`s 35DC cannons are found in both the bridge and neck positions. They supply this exclusive four-stringer with endless reserves of power. They cover anything and everything from hard rock to death metal. Master volume, balance knob and a 3-band EQ comprise the controls. Hi Mass bridge and Hisphot tuners complete the specs list.
