Kiesel/Carvvin Icon series made its debut back in 2006, as an effort to further pursue the perfection of tone and playability. Current incarnation of the series comes in 4, 5 and 6-string versions, all equipped with through-body necks, hybrid electronics and 24-fret fingerboards. IC5 Icon is the five-string option in the small, three-piece Icon series lineup. Like the other two, this one can be customized with hundreds of options which include tonewoods, colors, finishes, inlays, electronics and hardware. But, at the stock level, IC5 features alder wings, through-body maple neck and 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Other stock features include an A-style Hipshot bridge (string-through-body construction), passive/active KRH/KRJ humbuckers (radiused, with 18v battery for active mode) and Carvin premium tuning machines.
