Besides the vintage-style bass guitars in the Gibson USA family, Gibson produces modern and aggressive basses under other brands. Striker series is placed within the Kramer brand with only two models in the current lineup. 422S is one of them. It comes with a solid and double-cut body with metallic gloss finish over both the black and red variants. Both of them feature black hardware. Regardless of the color option, Striker 422S has a solid and double-cut alder body. On it`s top, there is a two-piece hardtail bridge with four adjustable saddles. In the front, Kramer installs a set of two active humbucking pickups. Two volume knobs and a master tone complete the controls. Bolted maple neck has an elliptical contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
