Bongo series is competing in the heavy weight category of the market. These rounded and double-cut behemoths come with four, five and even six strings. Add three, or four over-sized coils of thundering pickups (default pickups combo is H/S) with elaborate controls and 24-fret fingerboards and Bongo models become weapons of bass destruction. Bongo 6 is a solid, double-cut bass with body made of basswood ( Bongo is the only series in Music Man catalog with basswood as the main tonewood). On it`s carved top, there is the classic plastic pickguard and the six-saddled bridge with chrome plating. Neck is made of maple and it`s bolted to the body. Maple, rosewood and ebony can be chosen for the series standard 24-fret fingerboard.
