Brand new CV-5 will be CV series` basic five-string option in 2017. It is a vintage/modern bass, just like it`s four-stringed twin (CV-4). Unlike the CV-4, CV-5 appears in one additional color - Ivory. Other than that, only the string count sets these two apart.
CV-5 sports vintage styling (big black pickguard, vintage-looking tuners, metal plate beneath the volume and tone pots) and modern hardware and electronics. Ash body, maple neck (w/carbon fiber reinforcement rods, thin C profile) and 22-fret rosewood/maple fingerboard (depending on the color option) comprise the base of this versatile five-stringer.
Major hardware and electronics options include a five-saddled S-Tek (monorail) bridge, Schecter`s own Diamond J-Bucker pickups and Schecter Light-Weight tuners.
