Doug Wimbish Signature (bolt-on model) comes with a solid and double-cut body made of alder back and a quilt maple top (walnut back option is also offered by Spector). This flat-top four-stringer features 34" scale, top shelf Schaller tuning machines on the headstock (2+2 arrangement), neck-through joint, gold-plated hardware and active electronics. Spector offers this one in several pretty much standard color options with a mix of gloss, satin and matte finishes. Pickups on Doug Wimbish Signature model are active and are installed in the classic J/P pattern. They also feature the standard NS series controls unit. Hard rock maple neck is fit with a 24-fret pao ferro fingerboard on the top.
