XT-2 (and five-stringed X-25) models form the core of Steinberger`s bass range and are, currently, its only members. The Lineup`s divided between the regular XT-2(5) and XT-2(5) DB models, where the latter come with the handy DB-Tuner system for instant drop tuning. Also, the models feature the Direct Pull tuning system with 40:1 tuning ratio. The XT-2DB Standard Outfit offers a standard Spirit body, a set-in neck w/standard 34" scale, Steinberger hardware, as well as Steinberger electronics. The color palette is limited to Black Gloss option (black hardware, black plastics, smooth neck finish). Other notable features include the poplar body, a 3-piece hard maple neck, 24-fret fingerboard (no info on the material), Steinberger bridge w/DB-Tuner and Direct Pull systems, and Steinberger humbuckers.
