Corvette Standard series made in South Korea is mostly fit with bubinga based models with maple/ekanga necks and wenge fingerboards. Ash models are made for players who want the standard German Corvette, but can not afford it. They swap the bubinga bodies for the traditional ones made of ash and pair them with ovangkol/ekanga necks. Ash is the basic tonewood in the German side of the catalog and is only occasionally seen in the major series made in Korea (signatures made in Korea are made of alder, while the standard models feature a variety of tonewoods). Electronics department on this smooth four-stringer is equipped with a pair of single-coil pickups (the basic combo for the Corvette Standard series). Ovangkol/ekanga neck is topped with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard.
