Fortress is a discontinued series of solid-bodied electric basses which was made in Warwick`s German-based facilities. This series was made up of several models and the Fortress Mastermann was it`s top model. It was a solid, double-cut bass with a full-length scale, 24-fret fingerboard, bolted neck, gold-plated hardware and active electronics. Body of this exquisite four-stringer was made of flamed maple back and flamed maple top (flamed maple bodies are still quite common in the standard Warwick catalog). On the top, Fortress Mastermann had a standard two-piece bridge and a bridge-positioned humbucker. Controls unit is made up of a master volume knob and two tone knobs. Neck on this one is made of wenge and it`s topped with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard.
