Jack Bruce and Warwick basses have a long history together. Jack is Warwick signature artist for years, and now, for 2012 a JB3 Survivor bass hits the stage. It is Jack`s newest signature model and the ultimate bass, as he said. Jack Bruce JB3 Survivor Fretless brings an option for players who like to play on smooth necks. The body of this bass is solid, with double cutaway and made of mahogany. It takes after the legendary SG bass and comes with beveled edges, flat top and devil horn cutaways. Burgundy red stain and nirvana black color options are both offered with high polish gloss finish. The bridge on this model is a Warwick two-piece with top-load construction and chrome plating. Two full-sized MEC passive humbuckers drive JB3, one in the bridge and one in the neck position. On the other hand, the electronics, also supplied by MEC, are active. The neck is made of mahogany with a neck-through-body construction. The fingerboard on this model is made of tigerstripe ebony and features 24 frets and Just-A-Nut III brass string nut. There are no position inlays on the fingerboard. 34" scale, Warwick tuners and chrome hardware wrap the specs list.
