Some of the models feature unusual hardware and electronics options (customized parts of the hardware, or custom-made pickups), while some are equipped with an exotic selection of tonewoods. Thumb Bolt On Flamin Blonde LTD 2007 4 was one of the most exclusive Thumbs ever made. It was a solid and double-cut electric bass with a body made of lacewood, ekanga and yellow heart (yellow heart was on the top). Standard two-piece bridge and a regular H/S pair of pickups were installed on the yellow heart top. Neck on this model was made of maple and wenge and was topped wit a 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
