W Bass is a novelty introduced just in time for the 2013 NAMM Show. It is a completely new concept and it`s budget variant is being sold through Warwick`s Rockbass brand. As all Rockbass models, this one is also being made in China. It`s affordable, it looks amazing and has a great tone. Scale on this W Bass is a medium one, it measures 32" in length. These two inches, that it`s shorter from standard 34", it gains a tighter tone and mahogany/maple construction gives it bucket loads of sustain. Body of this extraordinary bass is made in the shape of the letter W and it is solid, with double cutaway. It is made of mahogany, it`s flat on top and features only black paint with satin finish. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a one-piece bridge with top-load construction. Pickups come in J/J configuration. They`re passive and have passive electronics. Neck is made of maple with ekanga stripes to strengthen it. It is bolted to the body and topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. 12th fret is decorated with a special "30" inlay. Warwick tuners, just a nut III string nut and medium scale are featured on this W bass, as well.
