Stu Hamm is one of the most important and influential players among still active bassists. He has played, toured and performed with legends such as Joe Satriani and Stveve Vai. Stu is known for his technical superiority and myriad of styles and techniques he has mastered. The series of his signature basses from Washburn offers some of the finest basses out there. One of entry level models to the series is SHB30, a solid bodied, double cutaway bass with a body made of basswood. The top is flat and features no pickguards or binding. This SHB is available in silver sparkle and black color, both with gloss finish. The bridge is a hipshot which, unlike the ones on more expensive models features no piezo shadow pickups. Regular pickup combo is made up of two passive J-style pickups, one in the bridge and one in the neck position. Controls section is comprised of separate volume and tone controls for both pickups. The neck is made of maple and equipped with bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features, a standard for Stu Hamm basses, 24 frets with yin & yang bass clef inlays and 1.6535" wide string nut.
