Mosaic series is divided into two basic tiers, standard Mosaic models and Mosaic Pro models. both tiers have four and five-stringed models with Jazz Bass-like bodies, simple bolt-on construction and powerful, elaborate electronics. Mosaic Pro 4 is the basic model of the Mosaic Pro tier and it comes with a solid, double-cut body made of swamp ash. It is paired with a maple neck via the bolt-on joint ( this type of construction and these tonewoods were the favorite combo for Fender, before the swamp ash was replaced with alder). On the top of the body, there is a four-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of humbucking pickups with elaborate controls unit. Maple neck on this model is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
