Still a star on the horizon which so many strive to reach, Iron Maiden remain in a league of their own, untouchable and glorious. Adrian, one of key people behind genre defining riffs and solos has a signature series made by Jackson for years now. For 2012 Jackson and Adrian prepared Adrian Smith Signature SDX. it is a San Dimas Soloist shaped guitar with a double cutaway and body made of basswood. This flat-top features no binding or top wood covers. The bridge on this model is a recessed Floyd Rose Special wit six saddles and a locking nut on the opposite side of the 25-1/2" scale. In the pickups area H/S/S combo is placed. It consists of Jackson bridge humbucker and noiseless Jackson middle and neck pickups. master volume and master tone are accompanied by a five position blade to complete the controls section. Neck is made of maple and it sports a speed neck contour with a rosewood fingerboard on top. 22 jumbo frets, dot inlays and 1-11/16" side string nut complete the fingerboard. Other features include: 25-1/2" scale, Jackson tuners and dual action truss rods. This model was unveiled at 2012 Frankfurt Musikmesse. The MSRP is set around $700.
