B. C. Rich BICH series is a home to some of the most recognizable guitars ever made. BICH series is a standard member of the B. C> catalog ever since the 1970s and numerous models were available in it over the course of time. Today, BICH series contains the Double Neck model. It comes with a double-neck construction, solid body, unified electronics unit and a total of 18 strings. Upper neck is made of mahogany and features 24-fret ebony fingerboard. It has 12 strings, while the lower one has six. Lower neck is also made of mahogany and it runs through the body. Pickups on both sides are Rockfield Mafia humbuckers. Wings of the body on this BICH are made of mahogany, thus completing one of the rare all-mahogany models in B. C Rich catalog.

Ok here we go. For a little insight, I have been playing proffessionaly for 47 years, both in the studio and touring. My arsenal cosists of some of the best axes around Gibbys, fenders, ricks, gretches, vintage BC riches and ESPs including a vintage 6/12 BC Rich double neck. I saw one of these for a great price $650.00 with the case and thought what the heck and bought it. As other Rich 6/12s it is like an aircraft carrier, it is heavy, and a bit overwhelming to someone who has not played one. Hears the lowdown: the rokfield mafia pickups are ideal for the guitar and will push your tubes at will, the action is so low you could not pass gas between the frets and strings with no buz whatsoever. The tone capabilities are nothing short of amazing. Shredding on both the 6 and 12 necks is effortless. Definately neck heavy (duh) this can be remedied with a good wide leather non backed strap. Once you are over that you will find it is a player. Tuners seem great and overall workmanship is far far greater than you would expect for a guitar in this price range. The versatility in the studio has been a godsend. As a player who is very familiar with the BC Rich vintage guitars I can tell you this: If $11,000.00 for a vintage double neck is out of your price range then this is the one for you. I own both and consider this to be in my opinion a fantastic piece for those wanting a 6/12 double neck at a decent price. It slays the shit out of my EDS1275 for sure. One other thing if this was a pice of garbage believe me this review would be reading a whole lot differrent, I can be a monster when evaluating junk. I do not work for BC Rich nor do I sell guitars for a living however I do make a living with them so I am absolutely non biased. Try one out, it will seem huge and different but once you get playing it I have one thing to say. Congrats on buying your new double neck Bich. CIAO
