JRV Lucky 8 is a part of the awesome JR tier (V series JR model) of affordable metal machines made for metalheads with a tight budget.
JRV Lucky 8 comes with a solid V body with beveled top and bolt-on neck joint. It is available in Black with satin bevels with black hardware and black plastics. The body is entirely made of mahogany, while the neck is made of maple. This is one of two standard tonewood combos, the other one being basswood and maple (both come with rosewood fingerboards). 24-fret fingerboard on this behemoth has a lone 5th fret dot inlay.
Pickups section features a pair of Duncan Designed Blackouts. Though cheaper and licensed, these extended range humbuckers perform surprisingly well. Other premium features include a string-through hardtail bridge and B.C. Rich tuners.
