I-35 is the series of semi-hollow bodied guitars from Collings, and the I-35 LC opens the line. It comes with "Laminated Construction" in order for this model to achieve the most faithful reproduction of the vintage tone possible. It comes with a double cutaway body made entirely of laminated maple. Top is bound in grained ivoroid binding, carved with two "f" holes and finished in high gloss. The bridge is a combination of tune-o-matic and a stoptail bar. Lollar supplies a pair of active humbuckers for this model. They are controlled with split volume and tone controls and a three-way toggle switch. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a mortise & tenon joint. Rosewood fingerboard comes with 22 frets, dot inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" string nut.
