CR series is a line of solid-bodied electric guitars with single-cut design based on the iconic Les Paul. For 2014, this series is being updated with one model, the intermediate CR230. This one comes with a solid and single-cut body made entirely of mahogany. There is no maple (or any other kind of) cap on the top. Cort offers this simple and durable six-stringer in only one color option. Black with gloss finish and nickel-plated hardware is the only option in the color palette. Around the top, white binding is featured to match the white plastic pickguard on the top. Bridge section is fit with the classic two-piece unit which is comprised of a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. EMG supplies the pickups for the CR230, both the bridge and neck pickup are the passive HZ series humbuckers. Two volume knobs, two tone knobs (with push-pull switches) comprise the controls. Pickups are selected through a three-way toggle switch. Mahogany neck is fast, slim and features the classic set in joint. On it`s top, there is a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
