There are several series in Cort`s electric guitar catalog with X in their names. The X marks the budget-friendly series made for beginners and almost beginners. There are KX, VX and X. The X series deals with affordable double-cut guitars with modern Soloist design. X-6SM is an intermediate model of this series and it features the basic series appointments, such as 25-1/2" scale, die-cast tuners, bolted neck, 15-3/4" fingerboard radius and tremolo bridge. Body of this six-string axe is solid, double-cut and made of basswood. Tremolo bridge is of the double-locking kind and it features three pickups installed in it`s front. Maple neck is made of five pieces of wood and it is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
