Custom 450 Flame maple is a variant of the basic Custom 450 model. Both of them were launched at 2013 NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. Custom 450 Flame Maple comes with a classic double-cut body made of mahogany with flame maple cap on top. Mahogany base is contoured in the back, to improve comfort and playability of this model. Same same reasons lie behind the large and deep cutaway Custom 450 sports. Top panel is bound in several layers of binding and is formed from two bookmatched pieces of flamed maple. Entire body, including the top is finished in high gloss and it is available in four different color options: Trans Blue, Trans Black, Natural and Scary Cherry. Neck on this six-string axe is made of maple. It is set in and it features the standard C contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. Pickups are provided by EMG and the combo contains the 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck position. Bridge section is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction.
