Hardtail Select is one distinguished double-cut guitar made for all players who want a classy instrument in their hands. This beauty comes with a carved top, glossy finish, nickel-plated hardware and full, rich tone. Active 'buckers installed on this model offer a vast range of tones, ranging from gentle clean to full-on overdrive without ever compromising the sense of class it impresses upon both the players and listeners. Split volume and tone knobs are accompanied by a three-way toggle pickup switch. Double-cut body is elegant, solid and made of mahogany base with flamed maple top. Classic bridge section is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. Set mahogany neck has V contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.

I scored a hardtail trem in Brazilia burst for $200! Absolutely one of the nicest guitars I have ever owned. Plays better than a new Paul. If you're contemplating buying a new Gibson don't quality has gone downhill. If you find a hardtail buy it you won't be disappointed
